Dr. Gregory L. LeischerOptometrist
Dr. Gregory Leischer grew up in northcentral wisconsin in the town of Medford. He completed his undergraduate requirements at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, concentrating his studies in Biology and Physics. He received his doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1997.
Upon graduation, Dr. Leischer joined the Eyecare Center of Wausau. Now in his 22nd year of practice, Dr. Leischer provides full scope optometric care. He especially enjoys the treatment and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and emergency eyecare.
Dr. Leischer lives in Wausau and is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys spending time with his wife Tammy, 3 children and 2 grandchildren at the family cabin.
Dr. Kelsey KoernerOptometrist
Dr. Kelsey Koerner comes from the Medford area. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a major in Biomedical Science. She is an Honor Society graduate of the University of Indiana - Bloomington's 2016 Optometric Program with specialized training in neuro-optometric rehabilitation, vision therapy and pediatric vision care.
Dr. Koerner has a great desire to be an active member of the community. She currently serves as the Wisconsin Valley Optometric Society President for the Wisconsin Optometric Association. She has participated in several Sports Vision Screenings and Free Eye Health Clinics. She also enjoys volunteering for the Special Olympics vision exams.
She spends her free time exploring Wausau and the outdoors with her husband and puppy, Paisley. She and her husband enjoy biking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
