Dr. Gregory L. Leischer
Dr. Gregory Leischer grew up in northcentral wisconsin in the town of Medford. He completed his undergraduate requirements at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, concentrating his studies on Biology and Physics. He earned a doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1997.
Upon graduation, Dr. Leischer joined the Eyecare Center of Wausau. Now in his 20th year of practice, Dr. Leischer provides full scope optometric care. He especially enjoys the treatment and management of ocular disease, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and emergency eyecare.
Dr. Leischer lives in Wausau and is active in the community, participating in coaching youth baseball and football. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Leischer enjoys spending time with his wife Tammy and three children at the family hunting cabin.
Dr. Kelsey Koerner
Dr. Kelsey Koerner comes from the Medford area. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a major in Biomedical Science. She is an Honor Society graduate of the University of Indiana - Bloomington's 2016 Optometric Program with specialized training in neuro-optometric rehabilitation, vision therapy and pediatric vision care.
Dr. Koerner is a sports enthusiast and has a great desire to be an active member of the community. She has participated in several Sports Vision Screenings and Free Eye Health Clinics. As a newlywed, she hopes to deepen her roots in the Central WI area as she focuses on eye health management in our Wausau community.
